Christine Pewitt, 94, a mother, homemaker and a farm wife, passed away Friday, June 7, 2013. Funeral: 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: 2 p.m. Tuesday in Ryan Cemetery, Ryan, Okla. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Christine was born April 21, 1919, in Montague County. She was a member of the Church of Christ of Burleson. Christine was preceded in death by her husband, William Edgar Pewitt; daughter, Margaret Carroll; two sons, Charles Pewitt and Bill Pewitt; and a great-grandson, Jamie Allen Edwards. Survivors: Son, Doug Pewitt; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
