|Death: ||Mar. 21, 1925|
San Francisco County
Ralph Johnson, driver, injured in the trial spins preceding the spring races starting here at the Tanforan Horse Track today, died yesterday in the South San Francisco hospital. This is the second death in the trial warmups, the first being that of William Reid, who died as the result of going through the fence.
Johnson was injured while circling the track at the rates of 75 miles an hour. His car jumped the track and smashed entirely through a racing stable beyond the rim of the track.
Ralph was laid to rest on April 2, 1925.
