Kathleen Naomi Davis, 79, of Chewsville, died Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2001, at Washington County Hospital.

Born Jan. 26, 1922, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Robert Albertus and Sarah Thresa Finck Bailey.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William John Davis, in 1988. They were married Dec. 24, 1950.

She had been employed by Hagerstown Shoe Co.; Thurmont Shoe Co.; and County Market in the bakery.

She was a member of Maranatha Brethren Church.

She was a member of Hagerstown Suns Fan Club and had worked at the concession stand.

She was a member of Senior Citizens Wednesday Bowling League at Long Meadow Bowl; and AARP.

She is survived by a daughter, Kathy Ann Ludwig of Chewsville; a son, Danny Lee Davis of Langhorne, Pa.; a sister, Virginia Mae Smith of Boonsboro; a brother, Elmer Spencer Bailey of Hagerstown; four grandsons; and two great-grandsons.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, Margaret Foltz, Bertha Wolfe, Hilda Hoffman and Viola Bailey; and five brothers, Albertus Bailey, George Bailey, Paul Bailey, Marcellus Bailey and Harold Bailey.
