Comfort was the third of six children born to Daniel Jacoby (1806-1875) and Margaret Williams (1815-1885), who married on 15 Jun 1836 in Marion Co., Ohio. Comfort grew up in a house full of brothers, all five with the middle name Williams, a nod to mother Margaret's family. They were William (b.1837 OH), Josiah (1839 OH-1914), Silas (1843 OH-1863), Daniel (1846 OH-1937), and Solomon (1850 IN-1935). I found her family on the 1850 Census, living in My Division, Marshall Co., Indiana, where Comfort's father Daniel was farming for a living. Margaret was expecting son Solomon.

When the 1860 Census rolled around, they were still in the same place, but the Plymouth area had been divided into three townships, and Daniel and Margaret's farm was zoned in Center Township.

On 23 May 1866, Comfort married John Wesley Blodgett in Marshall County. They appeared together on the 1870 Census, living in Center Township, Marshall County, where Wesley was farming for a living. Comfort had given birth to son Anton Wesley on 29 May 1868, but for some reason he did not appear with his parents on that enumeration.

In 1871, Wesley and Comfort moved their family to Nashville, Tennessee, where they lived for six years before relocating to Chicago, Cook, Illinois in 1877.

Sadly, Anton died on 3 Oct 1880 at age 12. He should have shown up on that year's census as well, since the enumerations were generally done in the first half of the year, but I couldn't find a record for them for that year. Anton was buried in Plymouth near his maternal grandparents. (Note: In the "Descendants of Bartholomew Jacoby", 23 Aug 1871-6 Oct 1883 are given as Anton's birth and death dates.)

On the 1900 Census record, Wesley was enumerated under John W. instead of Wesley. He was 59, and an inventor and manufacturer of bicycle supplies. Comfort, aged 56, reported that she had had one child but that he had not survived to that census.

They were still in Chicago in 1910 and 1920. In 1910, John was still manufacturing bicycle supplies. Comfort reported that she had had two children, though this seems unlikely given she would have been between 57 and 67 when she had the second child.

On 23 May 1916, John and Comfort celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. By the 1920 Census, John gave his occupation as retired inventor. He died that same year on 9 May 1920 and Comfort had him buried near her parents and son Anton in Plymouth.

Comfort lived another nine years before being laid to rest at the side of her husband and son Anton after her death on 12 Feb 1929.
