Dorothy Sue Austin age 78 passed away Saturday at the Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville.
She was born and reared in Chester County, the daughter of the late James Robert and Ollie Mae Jordan Climer. She went to school in Chester County. She married Robert Edgar Austin in 1954 and they made their home in Chester County.
She worked in several garment factories in the area where she was a seamstress and late became a supervisor.
Mr. Austin died in 1998. Dorothy loved to go to dances and love to sew. She loved being a caregiver to many and helping people in many ways. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Henderson.
She is survived by two sons Billy and Mike Austin both of Henderson and a daughter Bonnie Cox of Montezuma; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be at 3:00 PM on Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Henderson with Stan Smith and Brad Patterson officiating.
Burial will be in the Pisgah Cemetery.
Visitation for Mrs. Austin will begin a 5:00 PM on Monday at the First Baptist Church.
