Boonsville — Dorothy Lucille Womack, 83, a homemaker, died Wednesday, July 24, 2002, at home.
Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Balsora Baptist Church. Burial: Boonsville Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hawkins Chapel.
Dorothy was born November 27, 1918, to Robert and Ritta Allie Secrest Thornton in Lubbock. She was always reaching out to help others and was a gentle and compassionate woman who devoted in life to God, her husband, children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, James Gary Womack; grandson, Gary Wayne Womack; parents; brothers, Bill and Tommy Thornton; and sisters, Marie Smith and Edna Earl Williams.
Survivors: Husband of 67 years, Thurman of Boonsville; son, Sam Womack and wife, Kely, of Boonsville; daughter-in-law, Peggy Womack Sheppard of Boonsville; granddaughter, Kelli Ross and husband, Terry, of Runaway Bay; grandson, Sean Womack and wife, Krista, of Boonsville; step-grandchild, Taylor Province of Boonsville; great-grandchildren, Amanda Ross, Samantha and Skilor Womack; and great-great-grandson, Hunter Ross.
