In the 1920 Federal Census of Harrison, Washington County, Georgia, she was living on a farm with her parents and siblings. Their household, all born in Georgia to parents from Georgia, included: Elijah S Brantley, age 37, a farmer; Belle, age 39; Ausie R, age 14; J W, age 12; Neuman, age 11; Malcom L, age 9; Buford, age 7; Evelyn A, age 4 5/12; and Helen, age 2/12.

Evelyn B Altman, 96 passed away peacefully on Monday, May 6, 2013, at St. Catherines Laboure Manor.

She resided in Jacksonville, FL for more then 70 years and was a long time member of Riverside Primitive Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter Judith F. Miller, a grandson, Lyle F. Miller, two nieces, Jeanene Waller Fender and Jane Brantley Barrentine, and four nephews, Malcolm and Hyman Brantley and Glenn and Terry Waller. She was predeceased by her parents, Elijah and Belle Brantley, husband, Howard Raymond Casey Altman, four brothers, J.W., Newman, Malcolm and Buford Brantley and one sister, Annie Ruth Brantley Waller.

She will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Casey in Jacksonville Memory Gardens Cemetery in Orange Park, Fl on Friday, May 31, 2013 at 2PM. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and loved her. Family will receive friends Friday, May 31, 2013 from 1:00- 2PM at Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 111 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park, Fl 32073. Memorial Services will be at 2PM in the funeral home chapel with elder Vernon Simms Officiating. Interment will follow. Pallbearers will be David Ash, David Pinkstaff, Jack Joest, Ray Holt, Danny Cason, and Victor Sanborn. The family extends their heart felt gratitude to the staff and caregivers at St. Catherine Laboure Manor and Community Hospice of Northeast Florida for loving care and support they provided.
