Mary Bishop - OWENTON Services for Mary "Mugs" Bond Bishop, 88, of Owenton, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at McDonald & New Funeral Home, West Seminary Street.

Mary "Mugs" Bond Bishop, 88, of Owenton, died Sunday at Robertson County Health Care Center in Mt. Olivet.

Born Sept. 16, 1915, in Owen County, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Wilson Bond, was a graduate of Georgetown College and a retired teacher, having taught in Owen County. She was a member of the Homemakers and the Owenton Retired Teachers Association.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Floyd and Carol Ann McDanell; one granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Mary Beth and Steve Alexander; one great-grandson, John Bond Alexander; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Bishop, and six sisters, Eliza Bond, Dorothy Kentucky Bond, Faye Bickers, Jetta Arliss, Thelma Ashcraft and Lou Breisacher.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. today at McDonald & New Funeral Homes on Seminary. Burial will be in the Owenton I.O.O.F. Cemetery with the Revs. Daven Watkins, David Wotier and Bro. Jesse Bourne officiating.
