Wesley A. Scholer, 69, a native of Waseca county, died Saturday at his home in Minneapolis at 1423 Thomas Ave. No., after a lingering illness. Funeral services for Mr. Scholer were held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Knaeble Mortuary, Minneapolis, and at 2 p.m. at the Peterson Funeral Home here. Burial was in Woodville cemetery. Wesley Scholer was born in Waseca county, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Scholer. He attended rural school and also attended school in Waseca. For the past 47 years he had lived in Minneapolis where he was a machinist with the Sedarberg Manufacturing co., until seven years ago. Surviving him are his wife, the former Mary Maher, two sons, George and Donald, both of Minneapolis; a daughter, Mrs. Charles Nelson, Minneapolis; and 14 grandchildren. He also leaves two brothers, Edward, Waterville; and John, Waseca; and two sisters, Mrs. Freda Potterton, Libertyville, Ill., and Mrs. Jesse (Louise) Draheim, Waseca. Relatives who were here from away include George Reppe, Austin; Mr. and Mrs. George Thiewes, Owatonna; Mr. and Mrs. Silas Gilbert, Grand Meadow; Mr. and Mrs. Louis Scholer, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Wittenberg, Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Emil Starz, Zumbro Falls; Mrs. Carl Walker, Rochester; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Scholer and son, Mrs. Giles Abbe; and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Schwanke, Waterville, and other relatives from Iowa.

Survivors include his wife, two sons, a daughter, 14 grandchildren, two brothers, Edward, Waterville; and John, Waseca; and two sistes, Mrs. Jessie Draheim, Waseca, and Mrs. Freda Potterton, Libertyville, Ill.
