"Erie Man and Baby Die; Woman Overcome by Gas - Erie, Feb 14 - Two persons died and another was overcome tonight in a gas-filled apartment into which they had moved only a few days ago. Archie Hoag, 27, a CWA worker, and his 22-months-old child were found dead and Mrs Hoag was found unconscious. Her condition is serious. The family had moved into a two-room, gas-heated apartment because water pipes in their former home had frozen during the cold wave. Hoag's mother discovered the tragedy on her way home from a funeral in Waterford."
