Missouri Death Certificates #8821 and 7662-J both seem to be for this person. William Olonzo Moffis. They both show the same parents, Solomon (Sol) and Josephine (Josie) Bell Moffis, and birth in the same place. But one death certificate (#8821) shows his death to be Homicide "from a blow with a rock from the hand of the other man", signed by Dr Gordon. This one shows him dying in Ozark County. Death Certificate #7662-J shows him dying in Howell County from meningitis with a contributory factor of "fractured skull caused by blow with rock accidentlly" and signed by Dr. Heinrich. #8821 shows his birth as being February 20, 1886 and #7662-J shows March 30, 1886. B.H. Moffis is the informant on both death certificates.
