Richard A. Gorski, 50 of Merrimack, New Hampshire and formerly of Lowell, died Friday March 4, at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua after a lengthy struggle with cerebral palsy. He was the husband of Debra (Hackett) Gorski, to whom he was married for 18 years.

He was born in Lowell, November 17, 1954, son of the late Stanley J. and Mae (Grenier) Gorski. He was educated in local schools and attended the University of Lowell. Mr. Gorski made his home in Lowell before residing in Merrimack for the past 18 years.

He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Church in Merrimack.


Mr. Gorski had worked at Computervision in Burlington for 15 years before disability forced his retirement.

He loved sports and was delighted with the Red Sox and Patriots victories. He was a proud 21-year season-ticket holder of the Patriots, and also enjoyed the companionship of his dog, Chipper.

Besides his wife, his survivors include a son, Joey Gorski; his mother-in-law, Isabel Hackett of Lowell; a sister-in-law, Joanne Roberts of Lowell; two cousins, Mae Chandonnet and her husband, Robert, of Dracut, and Rosanne O'Toole of Dracut; a nephew, Steven Roberts of Lowell; three nieces, Pat Bower and her husband, Sam, of Hudson, N.H., Pamela Brady of Hudson, N.H., and Julie Riley and her husband, Mark, of Lowell; three godchildren, Paula Peters of Dracut, Ryan Prud'Homme of Pelham and Michael Riley of Lowell.

He was the son-in-law of the late Joseph Hackett; and the brother-in-law of the late Douglas Roberts.
