Frank Kellogg Dies Here Sunday Afternoon
Frank Preston Kellogg, 80, retired civil engineer and resident of Selma for the past nine years, died at his home Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock after an illness of some time.
A native of Covington, KY., Mr. Kellogg was at one time connected with the U.S. government as a civil engineer, and he also practiced his profession in Selma for a number of years, retiring several years ago because of ill health. He was educated at the University oh Heidelberg, in Germany, and was an accomplished linguist, speaking several languages.
Surviving Re one nephew, Nat Dawson of Selma and a number of cousins who reside in Kentucky and Ohio.
Services were held at 4 o'clock Monday afternoon from Jud Brislin's Funeral Home , the Rev. E.W. Gamble, rector of St. Paul's Episcopal church officiating. Interment was made in New Live Oak cemetery.
Pallbearers were John Creagh, John Pollard, L.M. Snider, Henry Jones, George Tate, and Louis Hubbard.
