BROWN, Bessie Cunningham (Mrs. Richard)
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Riley Funeral Home for Mrs. Richard (Bessie) Brown, 68, who died Friday at the St. Francis Care Center, Burlington.
The Rev. Gary Howse will officiate. Visitation will be held this afternoon and evening at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Brown was born May 20, 1916, in Muscatine, a daughter of Martin and Mattie Hays Cunningham and was a lifelong resident here. She married Richard Brown May 19, 1933, in Muscatine.
She is survived by her husband Richard Brown; a son, Darrell Brown, Newport Richie, Fla.; three daughters, Mrs. Frank (Sharlot) Trader and Lorna J. Sinclair, both of Muscatine; Mrs. Bill (Susan) Todd, Letts; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were a daughter, two sisters; three brothers, a granddaughter and a great-grandson.
