He was commonly known as Jimmy. We have since come to find out that "James" was a nickname among Italians because of how much it sounded like, "Chenz," which was an Italian nickname for "Vincenzo." At a time when Italian immigrants were making their names sound Americanized, it was common to pick up a different name. Vincent did not know until he was leaving school in the 8 grade to get a work permit, that his name was not Jimmy.

Jimmy was an apprentice at an auto repair shop in 1920. But he went on to be a Draftsman for his work life. He hand built houses in Lancaster that are still in very good condition. He was an excellent builder and mason.

Due to being incredibly shy, Jimmy did not marry until he was almost 34 years old. He was introduced to a young lady who was helping nanny her young cousins. The family lived nearby. When Jimmy entered a prized goat in the local fair, he needed someone to hold the goat inside his car for transport to and from the fair. Since the boys of the neighbors were not quite old enough or strong enough to hold the goat, Louisa Fiadino was asked to help. He drove a car she described as "a Model T without the roof." And 17 year old Louisa held the goat and kept it calm. It was never reported if the goat won any ribbons.

Months later, Louisa wanted to go see a Country music performer named Stuart Hamblin. She asked Jimmy to take her. In her borrowed dress and her juvenile looking saddle shoes, they went on their first date. Despite a 16 year age gap, they were quite well matched. With shy Jimmy to support her endeavors, Louisa was able to finally blossom into a strong woman. And with a constant talker by his side, Jimmy was freed from ever having to talk around people he didn't know. They were married for 49 years and had a daughter, a son, and later 6 beloved grandchildren.
