Kimberly Rae Shoemaker, age 50, of Marceline, formerly of Brookfield, died Sunday, May 12, 2013, at University Hospital, Columbia.

Kimberly was born in Burlington, Iowa on September 7, 1962, to Dwight and Beverly (Bennett) Greiner. Kimberly was baptized as a child at Grace Baptist Church in Brookfield and had attended the Bucklin Christian Church.

She had owned and operated Kimberly's restaurant in Brookfield and worked at Pershing Memorial Hospital as a certified nurse's aide.

She is survived by her parents, Dwight and Beverly Greiner, Brookfield, two sons, John Shoemaker Jr., Bucklin, and Brock Wine, Marceline, one daughter Jody Herington and husband Carl, Bucklin, four sisters, Brenda Lynn, Gladstone; Karen and Ken Kozanecki, Wisconsin; Kelly and Randy Olinger, Brookfield; and Stacey Roberts, Sedalia; and three grandchildren, Haley and Abigail Herington, and John Andy Shoemaker III (Trey), and ten nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ethel and Noel Bennett, paternal grandparents, Neva Allen and Charles Greiner, a sister Jodie Lynn Greiner, and niece Carissa Applegate Vansel.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, May 17, 2013, at Delaney Funeral Home in Bucklin with Rev. Tim Mitchell officiating.

The burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery, Brookfield. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 PM Thursday, May 16, 2013, at the funeral home in Bucklin.

Memorials may be made to the family and these may be left at or mailed to Delaney Funeral Home, 41 Locust Bucklin, MO 64631.
