He became a patient at the veterans' administration hospital the first part of January, 1953, where he departed from this life on Jan. 26, 1953, at the age of 46 years, 11 months, and one day.
With his parents he moved south of Lamoni, where he finished grade school. From there he moved to Decatur, Iowa, where he married Ruth Guilliams on Jan. 15, 1928.
To this union was born one child, Flora Madelene, Feb. 14, 1931. Seven weeks after her birth, his wife passed away. At request of his wife and him, Madelene was left with his wife's parents who raised her.
Albert served for the duration of World War II and has been in failing health since his discharge. After his discharge from the service he worked one year with his wife's parents, then moved to Kansas City, Mo., where he was employed until his recent illness.
His mother, father, and one sister preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his departure, one daughter, Mrs. Madelene Garvey, two granddaughters, Charletta and Jonda of Sioux City, Iowa. Also a sister, Mrs. Ruth McKean of Independence, Mo.; twin brother, Alfred DeLozier of Kansas City. Mo.; and a younger brother, Jesse DeLozier of Billings, Mont.
Services were held at Leon Thursday, Jan. 29 with Elder Robert Farnham officiating.
