Cynthia Reynolds was the daughter of Daniel Reynolds and Sarah Christina Larue of Saint Marys, Pleasants County, West Virginia. She was one of twelve children.

Cynthia married Newman Wesley Wilson on November 24, 1853 In Pleasants County, (W) Virginia. They were the parents of Emily M. and Leon Oren.

(West Virginia didn't become a state until June 20, 1863. This area was formerly known as Virginia. Pleasants County was formed in 1851, and this area was formerly Tyler County. It does not mean the people changed locations. That would have to be closely researched through Land Office records and the occasional address on a census, etc. Findagrave software requires we put West Virginia for the locations regardless of the timeline, in order for the correct counties and towns to be available.)

After Cynthia's death Newman migrated to Kansas, married Eliza Jane Priest and had six more children. They are buried in Elmwood Cemetery in Coffeyville. Cynthia's two children migrated to Kansas with their father and step-mother. Emily was at some point committed into the asylum at Osawatomie and is last seen there in 1910. Leon Oren settled in the northwest states of Oregon and Washington.
