Rosarito "Rose", a native of Peñasco, New Mexico; passed away in New Mexico after a sudden downturn in her condition while visiting from Midvale, Utah where she lived for 58 years. She was predeceased by her parents Policarpio and Juanita Ortega Fresquez; husband Manuel Gervasio Trujillo; sons: Arnold, David and Roy; daughter-in-law Linda Trujillo; sister Aurora; brothers: Samuel, Solomon and Manuel; and brother-in law Ross Cruz.
Rose was survived by her children: Lydia (Johnny Vidaurre), Leo (Nora), Donaciano, Benjamin (Mary Ann), Manuel Jr. (Shirley), Henry (Maria); siblings: Anselmo Fresquez (Maclovia) of Las Vegas, Nevada; Edumenia (Jose) Martinez of Peñasco, Mary Cruz of San Antonio, Texas; numerous nieces & nephews; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, up to the fifth generation.
Rose was the family matriarch and throughout her life; was a strong, determined, faithful Roman Catholic, regularly praying for those in need. She was faithful and humble in spirit to the end; those that had the chance to benefit from her prayers, advice, wisdom, love and friendship will not soon forget her.
Public visitation and Rosary on May 10, 2013 in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Rose was transported to Utah where services also took place. Public visitation and Rosary were on May 12, 2013 at St Therese Catholic Church in Midvale, Utah. Mass of Christian burial wsa on May 13, 2013 at St. Therese Catholic Church in Midvale, Utah. Rose was laid to rest beside her late husband and near her father at Redwood Memorial Estates in West Jordan, Utah.
