Leon A. Alford, 31, son of Mrs. Elizabeth E. Alford and the late William A. Alford, died on Thursday of last week [February 21] at the home of his mother, following an illness of six weeks.
Besides his mother, Mr. Alford is survived by three brothers and a sister, Lacy N. Alford, of Newark, Del.; Oscar Alford, of Smithville, and Earl Alford; and Miss Effie B. Alford, of Federalsburg.
Funeral services were held at the residence Sunday, at 2 p.m., with interment in Hillcrest Cemetery.
