August Brick was born in Wilmot Township, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, on 19 Sep 1856 to Peter Brick and Catherine Kaiser Brick. He was baptized at St. Agatha church on 22 Sep 1858. The Godparents were August Kaiser and Catherine Brick. He moved to St. Cloud with the family in 1876; he moved to Little Falls and then, after 1905, he moved back to St. Cloud.
He was married to Catherine Schoenberger on 05 Oct 1880, in St. Cloud, Minnesota. They had eight children: Mathilda (Mrs. Joseph Schindler), Clara (Mrs. Chris Laursen), Felix, Suse (she died in Little Falls at age 6 months), Mary (Mrs. John Raden), Norbert (he died on 20 Aug 1915), Adelaide (Mrs. William Frank), and, Levina (Mrs. Ervin Baier).
He died at his home in St. Cloud on 26 Dec 1923. Besides his wife and several children, he was survived by Simon Brick, Little Falls; Eugene Brick, Brainerd; Peter of St. Cloud, Mrs. Mary Ann Smee, Minneapolis, Catherine Medved, St. Paul; Emily Denis of Parkwater, Washington, and Mary Magdalena Meyer, Oregon City, Oregon.
