Former Mapleton man dies in Akron, Ohio

Norman L. Bollinger, 82, of 3426 Carper Ave., Akron, Ohio, formerly of Mapleton Depot, died at approximately 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, 1995, at his home. He had been ill for the past six years.

Born April 27, 1912, in Bedford, he was a son of the late John F. and Clara M. (Suter) Bolinger. He was married to the former Mildred A. Pannebaker.

Surviving are his wife, at their home; two sons, Frank L. Bollinger of Thornsville, Ohio, and N. Craig Bollinger, Akron, Ohio; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Elva Bowman of Huntingdon and Mrs. Oscar (Thelma) Long, Mapleton.

One brother, John Bolinger, preceded him in death.

Mr. Bolinger was a member of the Cathedral of Tomorrow, in Akron, for many years.

He had been employed as a dispatcher for Summitt County Engineer, in Ohio, until retiring in 1979.

Funeral services will beheld at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27, at the Robert E. Peters Funeral Home, Huntingdon, with Pastor Robert Shaffer officiating. Interment will be in Bowman's Chapel Cemetery, Mapleton R.D. 1.

Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday, after 7 p.m.
