Mildred Yvonne Jackson Kyle died April 28, 2013 after battling Alzheimer's.
She was born December 8, 1924 in Pensacola, Florida, to Alex and Arthurine Jackson.
Mildred was educated in Escambia County Public Schools graduating from Booker T. Washington High School. She received a degree in Elementary Education from Florida A&M University, Tallahassee, Florida. Mildred retired from the Escambia County Public School System after working 29 ½ years at Golding and Scenic Heights Elementary Schools.
She was preceded in death by her parents Alex and Arthurine Jackson; husband Alfred Kyle Jr.; and three sisters Bernice Simpson, Anniece Brockington and Annette Coleman.
She is survived by two children; Beverly (Anthony) Baker and Alfred Alexander Kyle of Pensacola, Florida; Five grandchildren; Terryl V. Baker and David A. Baker of Atlanta, Georgia; Derek (Louise) Baker of the United Kingdom; Davon D. Kyle of Pensacola, Florida; Tavon D. Kyle of Texas; four great-grandchildren; Ava, Taylor and Hayden Baker of the United Kingdom; Miannie Kyle, of Pensacola, Florida; two sisters-in-law, Gloria L. Kyle and Gloria M. Kyle of Pensacola, Florida; two nieces, two nephews; best friend Louis McCray of Pensacola; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Joesph Catholic Church on Friday, May 3, 2013 at 10:00 am, followed by Burial at Barrancas National Cemetery.
