According to 1930 census she was the wife of James Mantooth, and mother to Woodroe and Jackson Mantooth. It also indicates Pearlie was a full blooded member of the Creek Tribe (Native American). The Mantooth family were living in rural Coal Creek Township in Wagoner County, Oklahoma. The Census lists her age at the time of her first marriage as 22. Her husband and children were listed as mixed-blood.
