Charles M. "Chickie" Albertini, 78, Locust St., Minersville, passed away Saturday peacefully while in the company of his loving family at the home of his daughter, Tina, West West Terrace.

Charles was born in Minersville, Dec. 21, 1934, a son of the late Ceasar and Adeline Agosti Albertini.

He was a member of the former St. Barbara Roman Catholic Church Minersville, and currently of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church Minersville.

He was a naval veteran serving during the Korean War.

He was employed as a pro duction supervisor at Honeywell.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemarie T. McGovern Albertini, in 1999; a son, Michael Albertini, 2010; brothers, Leo and Henry Albertini.

Charles is survived by three daughters, Tina, wife of Mike Doyle, West West Terrace, Diane, wife of Myron Hardock, West West Terrace, Connie, wife of Paul DiRenzo, Norwegian Woods; a son, Joseph, husband of Jen Albertini, Pittsburgh; a companion, Jessie Keath Minersville; a brother, Alfred Albertini, Port Carbon; twin sister, Mary Hashin, Minersville; grandchildren, Jennie, wife of Ryan Stauffer, Michael and Mark Doyle, Matthew and Brian Hardock, Justin, Jesse and Corissa Albertini, Dominick and Gabrielle DiRenzo, Alyssa Cordell, Adrian, Brayden, Gavin and Addilyn Albertini; and a mother-in-law, Ethel McGovern.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, Minersville, with the Rev Adam C. Sedar officiating. The family respectfully invites friends to attend a visitation from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday atMahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc., Minersville. Interment will be in St. Barbara Cemetery. Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc., Minersville, entrusted with arrangements.
