Parents, William and Florence (Haynes) Doyle. (Mother was a Native Daughter of El Dorado County.) Born, Los Angeles, Calif., Dec. 17, 1884. Married, Rawley B. Duntley, Sept. 6, 1905. Educated, Elementary schools of Lancaster area, Lancaster High School, when it was a one-year school, 1901. She moved with her parents from Los Angeles to the Lancaster area in 1889 and lived there until 1905 from which year until 1909 she lived in the East Palmdale area and has lived at Oak Creek, Kern County, since 1910. She was a member of the Cameron School District Board of Trustees from 1911 to 1925 and served as Clerk of the Board during most of that time. She is a past member of the Woman’s Relief Corps of Lancaster, Calif. She is a member of Desert Gold Parlor No. 250, Native Daughters of the Golden West, of which she was First Vice President in 1938 and President in 1939. She has been a member of the Woman’s Club of the Tehachapis since 1937. Recreation: Horseback riding. Address: Box 278, Mojave, Calif.; residence, Oak Creek, Cameron Road, Kern County, Calif.

Ina M. Duntley Passes After Short Illness

At the age of 70, Ina May Duntley passed away May 25, 1956 in Lancaster, Calif. following three weeks of illness.
Mrs. Duntley, born December 17, 1885 in Los Angeles first came to the Antelope Valley in 1890. Following her marriage to Rawley B. Duntley, well known for his skills at pit barbecuing, on September 06, 1905, the couple established their first home four miles east of Palmdale and in 1910 bought a ranch at Oak Creek where they resided for 44 years. December 1954 they moved to Sierra Highway and Center Street, Rosamond.
Mrs. Duntley has been a member of the W.R.C., President of the Native Daughters of the Golden West, Desert Gold Parlor, Mojave and member of the Women's Club of Tehachapi.
September, 6, 1955 the Duntleys were honored by their many friends throughout the valley at an open house and buffet supper to celebrate their Golden Anniversary.
Mrs. Duntley is survived by her husband, a son, Lawrence of Rosamond, two daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Stitt of Mojave, and Mrs. Myrtle Davis of Lancaster, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Rev. Fred Cottrell of Lancaster conducted the service held in the Mumaw Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 29th. Interment followed in the Lancaster Cemetery. Funeral arrangements by Mumaw Funeral Home, Lancaster.
