Son of Jeremiah and Rachel Weaver Boyer, he married Jennie Neely, was the foreman of the drilling department of New York Petroleum Co., lived at 1716 Latrobe, Parkersburg, WV, died there of a coronary occlusion and prostate hypertrophy, per death certificate 10082, whose informant was his wife. Buried Jul 18 1941.

Per Pennsylvania Marriage License, on Jan 15 1987 in Clarion County, Adelburt S. Boyer of Venango County, laborer, 20, son of Jeremiah and Rachel Boyer, married Mary Jane Neely of Salem Township, Clarion Co, 18, general houseworker, daughter of Jacob and Mary Neely; first marriage for both.

Word has been received here in Franklin of the death of Adelburt S. Boyer, 74, of Parkersburg, WV, formerly of Franklin, on July 16, 1941. He died suddenly of a heart attack.

He worked in the oil fields for many years.

Surviving are his widow, one son and one daughter; a sister, Mrs. Lucy Tingley, of Franklin; brothers, Hamilton F. Boyer, of Parkersburg, WV; Charles N. Boyer, of New Castle; Martin Dennis and George Milton Boyer, of Rocky Grove, and John Fremont Boyer, Franklin RD 3.

Parkersburg, WV, Jul 1941:
Adelburt Sylvester Boyer, 74, died suddenly this morning, July 16, 1941, at 11:55 o'clock at his home, 1716 Latrobe St., Parkersburg, WV, following and illness of only a few minutes after suffering a heart attack. He was born on March 23, 1867, at Ashland Township, Clarion County, PA, a son of Jeremiah and Rachel Weaver Boyer.

A veteran well-known oil man, he had been connected with the Gilbert L. Watson Oil Company and interests for 49 years, and at the time of his death was foreman of the drilling department. He was a member of Mount Olivet Lodge, A. F. & A. M.

On January 15 1887 he married Mrs. Mary Jane (Jennie) Neely, who survives, with one son, Charles Leroy Boyer, of Cambridge, MA, and one daughter, Miss Hazel I. Boyer, at home. Deceased is a son, G.L. Boyer.

The body was removed to the Vaughan Mortuary.

Masonic funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Vaughan Funeral Home for Adelburt S. Boyer,74, who died Wednesday at his home at 1716 Latrobe Street. The Christian Science Reader will officiate and interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Parkersburg.
