Leonard Lee Best

Leonard Lee Best of Beaver Township, this county, passed away during the closing days of last month and was buried on July 31 at the Stone church, near Knox. His final illness was a brief one and the news of his death came like a shock to many in his home community. At the time of his death he was not quite 25 years of age. He was a young man of high character, honest, industrious, sober and faithful in all his duties and relationships of life, and very much liked by all who knew him. For several years he had been a member of the Lutheran church and was true to the profession he therein had made. He is survived by his wife and little child, who, together with his parents and relatives, have the sincerest sympathy of a wide circle of acquaintances. His funeral was largely attended, addresses being made by Rev. F.J. Howard of Lamartine and Rev. E.G. Lund, D.D. of the Lutheran congregation at the Stone Church.
