He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and the Eagles lodge.
Surviving are his wife, Cora, two daughters, Mrs. Helen Henry and Mrs. Louis Andregg, both of Mansfield; a sister, Mrs. Anna Blair of Chicago Ill; four brothers, Frank and Robert McGinty of Mansfield, Charles and Richard McGinty of Norwalk.
