MIKSIC, Anthony J., 90 passed away July 11, 2009. He was born June 21, 1919, in Brestovac, Yugoslavia. He immigrated to the U.S. with his family in 1930. A.J. joined the Marine Corps in 1940, and was a member of the elite paratroop division and saw action in the South Pacific, where he was awarded the Purple Heart. A.J. achieved the rank of Sargent, before being discharged in 1945. He was preceded in death by his wife Marge and sister Irene. A.J. was employed by Lockheed of California as an electrician until he retired. He was a member of the Assoc. of Survivors, World War II Parachute Units, U.S. Marine Corps, Lancaster Lodge of Free Masons; Senior Center of Lancaster and Disabled American Veterans. He is survived by his wife Clara, his sister Mary Luthy of Florida and his brother Charles of Pennsylvania.
