ORA S. BOGGS, 88, of 1738 Walker Lake Road died Sunday morning, January 4, 2004 at MedCentral/Mansfield following a brief illness.

Mr. Boggs was born November 7, 1915 in Olive Hill, Kentucky and has lived in this area since 1947. He was a member of the Abundant Life Tabernacle and Local 169 United Steel Worker's Union. He retired from Empire Detroit Steel after 29 years of service. Mr. Boggs was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army.

Surviving are his wife, Wanda Baker Boggs; a daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Leon Hall of Mansfield; three sons and daughters-in-law, Donnie and Gwen Boggs, Mike and Cathy Boggs and Frank and Jennifer Boggs, all of Texas City, Texas; fifteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Glenn and Moo Boggs of Mansfield and Leo and Betty Boggs of New Carlisle, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Della Boggs; a brother, Virgil Boggs and a sister, Eleanor Messer.

Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Monday from 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Abundant Life Tabernacle conducted by Rev. Robert O'Brien. Military services and burial will be held in Oak Grove Memorial Park.
