Angus was the youngest son of Raymond and Ethleen Wood, born in Duncan (near Spartanburg), South Carolina. He married Helen Petersen on January 6, 1937. They raised their 3 children, Patricia Ann, Richard Angus, and John Stuart in Western Springs, Illinois and LaGrange Park, Illinois, both southwest suburbs of Chicago with a brief time in Toronto Canada from 1955 - 1956.
Angus had a very rewarding career working for AB Dick and Company in Chicago. He retired at age 55 to Clearwater, Florida where his youngest son, John, joined Angus and Helen while going to college. Patricia and Richard eventually relocated to Florida as well. Angus, John and Helen are all interned at Sylvan Abbey in Clearwater, FL.
