The Evans County native lived in Tattnall County for many years and had lived in Savannah for 49 years. She was the widow of Alton J. Anderson and was a member of Silk Hope Baptist Church.
SURVIVORS: two daughters, Doris A. Mixon of Metter and Virginia A. Grotheer of Garden City; two sons, Wendell Anderson of Jacksonville, Fla., and Pete Anderson of Savannah; two brothers, Otis Grice of Metter and Hershel Grice of Claxton; a sister, Lillie G. Blocker of Brunswick; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: 7-9 p.m. today at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Massey Chapel, Garden City.
GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 3 p.m. Thursday in Anderson Church Cemetery in Tattnall County.
