Mrs. Elmo Chiles, 78, of Honey Grove, died at 2:05 a.m. Friday at Page Nursing Home here, where she had been a patient several weeks.
Funeral service is set for 2:30 p.m. Saturday at cooper's Funeral Chapel here, conducted by the Rev. Raymond Trompler Methodist pastor, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. She was a member of McKenzie Methodist Church.
The former Miss Virgie Crowson she was born in Lamar County, August 6, 1877, daughter of Asa and Mattie (Edwards) Crowson.
She married Elmo Chiles December 20, 1899. Her husband died July 16, 1937.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Palm, Honey Grove, and one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Jackson, Coral Gables, Fla.
