Charlotte Barrett Foley, of 12, Leinster Road, Rathmines, Dublin.
Daughter of William Barrett and Wilhelmina Brown Barrett, who were married in St. Peter's Church, Aungier Street, Dublin, on 24 August 1870.

An un-named daughter of William Barrett and Wilhelmina Barrett, formerly Brown, was born at 6 Belgrave Square, Rathmines, Dublin, on 4 November 1876.
This child is most likely to be Charlotte.

Thomas Foley, a bachelor, a Clerk, of 29 Lamb Alley, son of Patrick Foley, a Merchant, and Charlotte Barrett, a spinster, of Fownes Buildings, daughter of William Barrett (living), a Shop Assistant, were married in 1 June 1900, at SS Michael & John's Church, Lower Exchange Street, Dublin.
The witnesses were
Patrick Hughes,
Gretta Foley.

In the 1911 census, the Foley family were living at 5, Ashfield Park, Terenure, Dublin.
present were,
Thomas Foley, aged 39, a Public Official, born in Co. Dublin
Charlotte, his wife, aged 34, born in Co. Dublin.
They had been married 10 and a half years, and had 7 children, 6 of whom were alive.
Niall, son, aged 9 and a half,
Isa, daughter, aged 8,
Les, son, aged 7,
Sidney, son, aged 5,
Dorothy, daughter, aged 2 and a half,
Josephine, daughter, aged 1,
a domestic servant was also present.

They were passengers on board The Leinster, which was sunk by two torpedoes whilst enroute from Kingstown [now Dun Laoghaire] to Holyhead, Anglesey, Wales, on the morning of 10 October 1918. They were travelling to visit her brother, Private Christopher Barrett, in hospital in Birmingham, who had been severely wounded in France. He died of his injuries three days later.

Thomas's body was not recovered.
Charlotte's body was recovered and buried in Glasnevin Cemetery.
Cemetery records note that she was said to be 38 years old. Her grave is unmarked.
It is understood that at their death, they had 10 children.

was the wife of Count John McCormack, the noted Irish tenor.
