OBITUARY- Raymond R. Battenhouse, 71 of Amherst died yesterday morning after a six-week illness.
Born in Russia Township, he lived all of his life in this area, spending the last 46 years in Amherst. He worked in the electrical department in the city of Amherst from 1956 until 1976. Prior to that, he owned and operated an oil products distributorship in Lorain County for 20 years.
He attended the Christian Assembly of God Church in Lorain.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Myrtle E. (nee Baun) and a daughter, Miss Carol Marie Battenhouse, at home.
