Freddy E. Turner, 64, of 104 Kyle Court, Bluefield, died Sunday, April 28, 1996 in the Duke University Medical Center, Durham, North Carolina.

Born in Stone, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Fred N. and Virgie Harris Turner. He was of the Presbyterian faith and was vice president of sales and marketing of the Tabor Machine Company, where he worked for twenty years. He was a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and a U.S. Army veteran.

Surviving are: wife Catherine DeGeorge Turner of Bluefield; daughter Linda J. Gimpl of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; son Dr. Mark E. Turner of Cleveland, Ohio; sister Betty J. Alcox of Detroit, Michigan; aunt Eula H. Richards of Christiansburg, Virginia; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, May 1, at Mercer Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. W.D. Hasty, Jr., officiating. Entombment was in the Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Bluewell, West Virginia.
