Leeman "Lee" Allred, 77, died Saturday, October 4, 2008 in Houston, Texas. A native of Windom, Texas he was born December 4, 1930 to James Bryan and Leatrice Burton Allred. He moved with his family to Rosenberg in 1965. Lee was the district manager for a farm machinery company until he retired.

Lee leaves behind "the love of his life", his wife of 57 years, Rose Morgan Allred; his much loved children, daughter Karen Allred Campbell and husband Alton Campbell, Jr. of Rosharon, and Gary Allred and wife Cindy Benton Allred of Richmond; grandchildren, Jennifer Campbell of Seabrook, Kathrin Campbell-Hulin and husband Jason Hulin of Katy, Brett Allred and fiancé Andrea Martin of Houston, and Bryan Allred of Kemah, Morgan Campbell of Rosharon; and great granddaughter Lauren Hulin.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Burton Allred.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6-8:00 p.m.

He was a people person and never met a stranger. His grandchildren knew him as a great story teller and friend they called Grandfather.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Meningitis Foundation of America, the American Lung Association or a charity of your choice.
