Russian and Ukrainian actor, one of the founders of the Russian school of acting. He was born in the village of Red Oboyan county province of Kursk in the family castle of Count G.S. Wolkenstein. From 1799 to 1801 he studied at the Shchepkin Sudzhansky public college. In 1801-1802 played in a home theater of Count Wolkenstein.
