Lucille Chastain 83, of Emerson, Arkansas passed away Monday, August 28, 2006 at Christus Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana.
She was born March 1, 1923 in Emerson, Arkansas to the late Carl Talmadge and Addie Leona (Braselton) Hines. She was a retired clerk for Western Union and a member of the Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Imogene Payne, and two sisters, Katherine Green and Janeice Hines.
She is survived by her husband, John "Mutt" Chastain of Emerson, Arkansas; one son, Tommy J. Chastain and wife Marcella of Muskogee, Oklahoma; one daughter, Tina Emerson and husband Kenny of Emerson, Arkansas; eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday, August 31, 2006 at 2:00 pm at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Barbara Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery under direction of Lewis Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery Association.
Active pallbearers will be Josh Emerson, Chris Emerson, Marcus McClung, Brian Payne, Robert Daniel, Craig Hansen and Steve Phillips. Honorary pallbearers will be Phillip Emerson and Aaron Emerson
