Alice Mae Presley
BLUEFIELD – Alice Mae Presley, 96, of Bluefield, VA, went to be with her Lord Dec. 7, 2005 at Eastview Adult Care in Bluefield, VA, after a short illness.
Born July 13, 1909 in Switchback, she was a daughter of the late John Cameron Baldwin and Lena Gertrude Warf Baldwin.
She was retired after being a teacher for 35 years at Graham High School. The Graham High Class reunions she attended over the many years since retiring were a great delight to her. She was a member of the Graham Christian Church and a past member of the Eastern Star.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Charles Presley, Jr., two sisters and one brother.
Survivors: sons, William Cameron (Bill) Presley and wife, Fran, of Bristol, TN, Gordon Conrad (Bud) Presley and wife, Chlor, of Centennial, CO, Charles Edward (Ed) Presley and wife, Bani, of Bluefield VA; daughter, Alice Ann Dalton and husband, Clyde, of Danville; ten grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral was conducted Dec. 11, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the Dudley Memorial Chapel in Bluefield, VA with Rev. Bob Johnson officiating.
Burial followed in the Grandview Memory Gardens.
