Please Note: Lavina's funeral notice states that her burial would be in the Ottumwa Cemetery. This is an error. Lavina is buried in Shaul Cemetery.

Also Lavina's son Carl Schworm is not included in her obituary. However, Carl's birth record is found in ancestry.com, and he is included with them in the Wapello County, Iowa, Census Records for 1910 and 1920, and he was still living with his father in the 1925 Census.

MRS. ED A. SCHWORM

Mrs. Lavina Ellen Schworm, wife of Ed A. Schworm, well known local postman, died at the family home, 835 Church street, at 3 o'clock this morning.

She was 54 years old and is survived by her husband and the following children: Mrs. M. Rowell of Ottumwa; E.M. Schworm of Ottumwa; Miss Rachel Schworm at home; Mrs. Omer Goehring of Ottumwa; Mrs. P.P. Rogers of Orange City, Mo.; Mrs. Oro [sic] Ross of Ottumwa; and Pearl and Lucille Schworm at home. One child preceded her in death.

Funeral announcements will be made later.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lavina E. Schworm, who died at the family home, 835 Church street yesterday, will be held at the Finley Avenue Baptist church Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. John Hastie will have charge of the services and burial will be in Ottumwa cemetery.
