Doris Marie Bergman age 84, 209 East Wilson Street Bryant passed away early Monday morning in Woodcrest Nursing Home in Decatur. She was born in Huntington County, Indiana September 29, 1928 the daughter of Eldon and Irene (Gilmer) Brown. She was married February 28, 1948 to Orville "Jake" Bergman who preceded her in death on June 25, 2009. She had worked for Micro-Matic in Berne, Portland Industrial Products and Ballistran.
Surviving are one son David Bergman of Portland, one brother Willis Brown of Irmo, S.C. Four grandchildren and six great grandchildren She was preceded in death by a son DeWayne.
Funeral services will be Friday at 10:30 A.M. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Ward presiding. Burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery west of Bryant. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. and prior to the services Friday. Memorials can be made to the Bryant Community Center.
