SHEFFIELD, Glenn B. Born October 25, 1923, in Guion, Arkansas. Passed away April 11, 2005, in Lancaster, Calif. He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Khanchandani and husband, Ashok, son, William Sheffield, grandchildren, Billy Sheffield, Jeffrey Sheffield, Paul Sheffield, Stacy Chamness, Ashton and Sabrina Khanchandani and eight great-grandchildren. Glenn was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi and son Glenn "Bordie" Sheffield. Glenn served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He started his career with the United States Post Office in Palmdale in 1938, and retired as Postmaster in 1977, after a highly distinguished career. Glenn was a member of the Kiwanis Club, Palmdale Chamber of Commerce, Lilac Festival Committee and various church, civic and fraternal organizations. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, April 14, 2005, (Viewing 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.) at Chapel of the Valley Mortuary with the Reverend John Ramsey officiating.
