SUNSET ~ Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 4, 2013 at a 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. John Berchmans Catholic Church in Cankton for Eddie Guidry, age 82, who passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 4:25 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.
Interment will be in St. John Berchmans Catholic Cemetery in Cankton.
Mr. Guidry was a native and a lifelong resident of Sunset. He was a parishioner of St. John Berchmans Catholic Church of Cankton.
Survivors include one sister, Letty G. LaGrange of Cankton.
He was preceded in death by his wife the former, Ella Rigaud; his parents, Jean Guidry and the former Helena Trahan, both natives of Cankton; three brothers; and two sisters.
Melancon Funeral Home of Carencro, 4615 North University Avenue, Louisiana was in charge of arrangements.
