He was an active member to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various callings. He graduated from Millard High School. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the Utah Highway Patrol after 31 years, and served as Juab County Assessor for 12 years. He was an accomplished boxer at the division, region and state levels. He competed in the Golden Gloves Championship and only lost one bout in his entire career. Norm was given the opportunity to train and box professionally, but chose to fight crime instead.
Survived by his wife Ilene; sons, Dale N. (Rose) Anderson, Douglas S. Anderson, and David C. (Alison) Anderson; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; brother, Con Anderson. Preceded in death by a brother
Thomas; sister, Claudine Dabling; granddaughter, Emma.
Funeral services will be held at
11 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2010 in the Nephi 5th Ward, 345 East 500 North. Family and friends may call from 9:45- 10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the Nephi City Cemetery.
