AMBURGY, Cotton age 76 of Lebanon, Ohio and formerly of South Lebanon and Waynesville, Ohio, passed peacefully Monday morning, November 8, 2010 at Lebanon Country Manor in Lebanon, Ohio. Born October 11, 1934 in Owsley County, Kentucky; he was the son of Floyd D. and Jalah (Spencer) Amburgy and retired from the Putnam Trucking Company. Cotton was a proud U.S. Army Veteran. Cotton attended Solid Rock Church in Monroe, Ohio and was a member of the Lebanon Masonic Lodge, Lebanon Eastern Star, Royal Arch of Masons of Ohio, Knights Templar Miami Commandry #22, Shriner`s International, Tall Cedars of Lebanon and the Scottish Rite, Valley of Cincinnati. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers Kash D. Amburgy, Marvin, Claude and Wayne Amburgy and sisters Lois Bowman and Ilene Amburgy; Cotton leaves behind his brothers Ellis (Joan) Amburgy and Blaine (Helen) Amburgy of Lebanon, Ohio; sisters Faye Amburgy of Stanton, Kentucky and Kay Penwell of Trenton, Ohio and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members, friends and neighbors.
Friends may call on the family Thursday, November 11, 2010 from 10:00am until 12:00pm at the STINE Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 12:00pm with Reverend Blaine Bowman officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Deerfield Cemetery, South Lebanon, Ohio.
