UNADILLA — Thomas Tamburro, 67, of Parker Hollow Road, Unadilla, N.Y, died Friday, March 9, 2001, at The Hospital, Sidney, N.Y.
He was born May 21, 1933, in Jersey City, N.J., the son of Lardie and Clara (Ruff) Tamburro.
Thomas was a retired pipefitter with Local Union #274 of Ridgefield, N.J.
He was a former resident of Woodcliff, N.J., and a resident of the Unadilla area since 1990.
He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Betty Tamburro of Unadilla; his mother, Clara Tamburro of Cresskill, N.J.; his sons, Thomas Tamburro of Waldwick, N.J., Michael Tamburro of Golden, Colo., David Tamburro of Mount Holley, N.J., and Daniel Tamburro of Parkridge, N.J.; his daughter, Debra Grisler of Riverdale, N.J.; a brother, Alfred Tamburro of Cresskill, N.J.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 12, 2001, at the Westcott Funeral Home, Unadilla, N.Y., with the Rev. Gordon A. Polenz, pastor of Sacred Heart Church, Sidney, officiating.
Burial will be later in Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Unadilla.
Friends may call at the funeral home, Sunday, March 11, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. when the family will be in attendance.
