Mrs. Eckert was a homemaker and a graduate of Huntington High School.

She was born March 17, 1917, in Huntington to William and Mary White Klinger. She married Francis J. "Pat" Eckert on June 14, 1948, in Spencer, and her husband preceded her in death in 1985.

Survivors include two sons, Dennis A. Eckert of Rock Island, Ill., and Timothy Eckert of Davenport, Iowa; two daughters, Connie Marshall of Huntington and Barbara Brown of Wabash; a sister, Betty Ann Raver Ade of Huntington; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, Harley Klinger, Harry Klinger, Marvin Klinger, Clarence Klinger, and Wilbur Klinger, and two sisters, Hazel and Delores.
