MRS. BERRY DIES AT 84
Mrs. Sara Berry, 84, died Wednesday at Memorial Hospital of Natrona County.
She was born June 28, 1883, at Junction City, Ohio, and was reared and attended schools there. She was a graduate of business colleges at Zanesville, Ohio and Lancaster, Pa.
On July 14, 1909, she was married at Junction City to George I. Berry of Petrolia, Pa. The couple made their home in the Ohio city for many years, coming to Casper in 1922. Mr. Berry was employed as a petroleum engineer with the Mountain States Power Company prior to his death on Nov. 25, 1946.
Mrs. Berry was a member of the First Methodist Church for more than 50 years. She was a member and past president of the the Women's Society of the Methodist Church, a charter member and past presidents of the North American Benefit Association with a 60-year membership.
She was an honorary member of the past president of the Daughters of Union Veterans Tent 19, a member of the W. L. Kuykendal Chapter 39 of the Rebekah Lodge. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Caton of the Patriarch Militant, the WCTU.
She is survived by a daughter, Wilda A. Berry of Casper, and a foster daughter, Ruth K. Evans of Hutchison, Kan., and a nephew Ben E. Evans of Stafford, Kan., and other nieces and nephews in Ohio and Wyoming.
Services for Mrs. Berry will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday at the Bustard Funeral Home with the Rev. Delbert Paulson of the First Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery.
